Welcome to DevLog N.1!



Well, since I've made solid progress on Welcome To Matia's Restaurant Repaired, I've decided to share some of the project with you :3


New Menu

I already show this on the game's page, but I decided to explain it in a little more detail.

As you can see, it's completely different from the original version, because now I tried to recreate an old computer menu, that is, the black and white colors, even with Matias convulsing from the menu, only it's not pixelated, it looked nicer that way. Everything from the game returns, with something new: the settings.

In the menu, there's a button to access these options. As you can see, there are 4 options:

1. Full Screen: This option lets you change the game's screen size between full screen and windowed mode.

2. Sounds: This will turn off all game sound, allowing you to play without it.

3. Brightness: Pressing the A and D keys will change the screen brightness. You can use the setting you're most comfortable with. The maximum is 200 (practically doubles the original brightness), and the minimum is 20.

4. Reset Data Folder: If you press this button, it will tell you to press SPACE to continue. If you do, the game will close and erase all your progress.

This will provide more convenience; that is, you can play with the minimum brightness, with or without sound, among other things.


Cameras

Now for the most important thing, after 3 days (from December 8th until yesterday, December 10th) I finished almost all the blessed cameras in the game, there are a total of 10, to move you simply have to press on the square you want, and there it will let you enter the view of that camera.

As you can see, there's an improvement over the classic WTMR; not only is the color palette nicer, and there are improvements to the tables, but the perspectives are also better. You'll see a decent improvement from other camera angles ; )

But there's a new button, that eye below the camera interface. This will remove the interface if it's in the way, although it won't let you change the camera, so it's a 50/50. I put it there so you can see the cameras better.

Oh, by the way, Matias's positioning and logic are finished. As I said, I've made great progress.

(This camera is the ventilation view, and you can see the graphical improvement. I seriously love this camera and Matias's positioning.)


Systems

The systems are very rudimentary right now, but I'll show you an early image.

There will be more systems here (like the AI ​​Reset and the temperature), but perhaps you noticed the ventilation button. This works like a door; that is, you close it and the bug leaves. When Matias enters the ventilation, you must close it. If he appears in your office, you must reset his artificial intelligence WITH THE DUCT OPEN, because the signal will take longer due to the metal inside the duct. The signal will take approximately 3 seconds to restart his AI, meaning there's a greater chance that Matias will kill you in the process.

The battery also receives a considerable nerf; it now drains in increments of 10, BUT it takes longer to drain and the recharge button will have a cooldown, but it will give you 20 energy. In the code, this is represented as "100: 1, 90: 2, and so on."

Well, that's all I have to show. I hope this project will provide a good, or at least decent, experience. I don't want to compare myself to other fangames like Baxter's; I just want to create this with fun and affection for the original game. I had a lot of fun creating the original game despite the crashes, and when I started to become more self-aware (it's hard to explain), I realized how mediocre classic WTMR is.
