Welcome to the illagus 2.1 - Rising Ash update. This update includes multiple new mechanics and changes with the main goal of providing more player choice and run to run variety.


Travel to the lands of Ash and make difficult choices that can shape the entire rest of your run. Gain strong powers, fight new elites and bosses, defeat infused enemies to claim their power and gain boons not available anywhere else.

Full Patch notes and changes:

- New Mechanic: Ashlands - Enter the Ashlands through a dark portal that can appear after your first few initial runs.

- New Mechanic: Infusion - Defeat infused enemies and temporarily steal this power for yourself

- New Elite and Boss fights: Travel to the Ashlands to fight new fiery foes and enter the mysterious dark dimension to discover a new foe that has made it it's home

- New ???: Shopkeepers have feelings too you know, maybe stop hitting them before you regret it.

- New Artifacts: A whole array of new artifacts have been added to the game, almost double the previous amount. From chaining explosions to smacking enemies with your pile of gold, many things are now possible that can change the way you play

- New Cursed Artifacts: These artifacts are not like the ones you know, while being very powerful, they have a serious downside. They can only be picked up by choice and pose a risk to your run, be careful

- New introduction: A short lore introduction has been added to the game for new players

- Active items now give a brief description of their function on pickup, pay attention so you don't get surprised

- New music to accompany the new areas and fights

- All item and artifact drop rates have been redistributed and generally increased to improve player agency and give more opportunity for choice and discovery

- General improvements to audio quality

- Improved quality of text in both readability and flow

- Changed Shop Item descriptions to offer more clarity in what you are potentially buying

- From this point forward your saves should remain compatible with any future updates

- Fixed multiple bugs with older artifacts that weren't functioning to their planned potential

I know some of you have been waiting a long time for this update, hopefully this is the first and last time that it will take this long to release an update. Hey everyone. The video above showcases 2 of the main features for the coming illagus update: updated caves and large rooms. Caves will be entirely optional content. Explore underground areas, both large and small with new enemies, traps, bosses and more.

I just want to say thank you. Hundreds of people have now played illagus, way more than I ever expected. I have already started working on the next update, which should bring some very exiting things to the game and I can't wait for everyone to play it.

Hey everyone. In the update tomorrow you might notice a couple of changes to the combat in illagus. Several changes have been made. An overal increase in attack speed, more reactive enemies, critical strikes and charge attacks. More info below.

Only ~24 hours to go. The demo will also receive an update with the new changes, however a large part of the new content will not be reachable due to the demo level limit of 20 (was previously 15).

Hey everyone. The small patch will be released tomorrow. In the short video above you can see the changes that have been made to the vertical movement. With the press of a button you can instantly change between the lane based movement and free movement.

The next update is almost here! The new update will be available for the main game on the 19th of December, with the demo soon to follow. Stay tuned for more info & what to expect.

Hey everyone. Today I want to share a bit more about what's coming in the next update: Updated Islands, revamped trap rooms, timed chests and behavioral changes to several enemies.

Will you finally be able to escape the island of Illagus? Update coming February 23.

In the coming update you will be able to unlock multiple playable characters. Also new are the quest fairies that will reward you (for your next run only) if you complete their assignment.
