It’s not much that happens to this game. That has several reasons.
First of all, I am setting up some stuff in C#
I am also working on Cynthia Johnson
I am participating in a professional JavaScript/Scrum course, and that takes a lot out of me, not to mention that it requires me to attend to lessons, and I can’t code a game and follow a lesson at the same time…. Duh!
And I’m also writing a book
Well guess I told you that before…
So! I have to make choices, what to do when. Now that all puzzles prior to entering Atlantis have been done in Cynthia Johnson, I’ve decided to put my focus on Sixty-Three Fires of Lung and today I made a start to this. However I am most of all focusing now on some gameplay elements rather that storyline content. The reason is simple… The longer I wait to implement these features, the harder it gets to get them done later and get the game properly balanced as a result. I hate this part of game development, but it’s part of the show.
Today I’ve at least put the last hand to allowing Ryanna to steal items from the enemy. Ryanna’s calls to special abilities are also counted now, as the number of moves she performs will get her to learn new abilities eventually, which is actually pretty much comparable with how Wendicka learns new spells in Star Story, with the only difference that Wendicka can also learn new moves from her party members, which Ryanna cannot do… But Wendicka can’t transform like Ryanna can, so that makes them even I suppose :P
Yeah, the game is progressing, but I do require your patience more than I required it during the production of Dyrt, The Fairy Tale and Star Story.
Those with alpha access may have noticed a few critical bugs… I am working hard in fixing those… Doncha worry…
