Alright, I’m here to tell you some about the future of our game, Glitch\Quarantine!
But before I do, I’d just like to make a shoutout to Wobmiar, who is the ultimate master ninja-wizard at our game, performing INSANELY well considering her 00:21:052 highscore (!?!?!)! If you guys remember, I promised a 50$ cash prize to whoever would beat my highscore. So I owed her a 50$ that she refused. We decided it would go to charity. Then I told her (at the time she would beat the game in 40+ seconds) “If you break the 25 seconds barrier, I’m throwing in 25$”. She said “aiight, me too”. And she did it on the day we said that, so we’re giving 100$ to Amnesty! Btw, I don’t know if you guys about what 20XX is but … if you look at the highscore … she’s kinda just .05 away from it O_O;.
About the game’s future:
Alright alright, about the game’s future now! First of all, we’ve set ourselves a time limit, which will be the end of our winter breaks, this year. This will help us remain productive and set a realistic goal to ourselves. Here is what you’ve been wanting to read in this post I guess, and here is what’s planned as development for the game:
Exploration mode set in a Dungeon Crawler Style (à la Heroine Dusk)

Don’t worry, this game will not have massive text to be read, and will not even use this Narrative style we’re using in the GDD, but it’s just to give the context. Most of this might not be included, only suggested by chat interactions here and there.
Finally, last but (really not) least, we plan to implement NETPLAY PVP! As many must have guessed, the main inspiration for this game is the Megaman Battle Network series. As a huge fan of the series myself, I’ve always dreamed of playing this game in multiplayer/competitively. Yes, it’s possible, yes, it can be a lot of fun, but yet, I feel like the games are not really designed towards that, so that’s where we come in. I hope all the MMBN fans out there will enjoy this!
Alright, this post is long enough but I just wanna mention this before I press “Add News Article” : I plan to create a Tutorial video very soon, for those who struggle beating the game! And, perhaps even much more interesting, we will post Wobmiar’s INSANE speedrun video soon too!
