Hey all! So I’m guessing you’re probably wondering where I’ve been all this time and where Ultra³ updates have been for the last few months. So I’m going to go over it as brief and as detailed as possible in this quick update.
First of all: Ultra³ updates are coming very soon! I have been stuck dealing with some other things in the background, some involving coding and some not. The game in its current state will have a lot of bugs patched and a lot more features added to the game. Making it a fun, playable experience. If I get a lot of requests to do so, I will start posting snapshot updates every week if I have made some decent progress.
The second point I need to make is that future updates of Ultra³ will have almost guaranteed stability in most areas. When I made the game, I was originally going to use it as a base for a Java engine I wanted to make. After the game became to packed full of features and became a solid game & engine in of itself, I had to strip parts of the game to move over to the engine. This currently leaves the game in a ridiculously buggy state as a lot of its core features have been tampered with.
Once I get the engine in a stable state, I will announce the name of the engine, (most likely) upload the source code to GitHub, then I will sort out Ultra³ and release the 1.3.0 update.
The next point is that as of late, I have started work on other game projects that I have had in mind for a while now. I don’t believe that these projects will take priority over Ultra³, but it does mean that development of the game may be slowed down. This is nothing to worry too much about, however. As I do not have a deadline to release these other games, and Ultra³ is the centre of my attention at the moment (Aside from the engine).
tl;dr Updates coming very soon, I just need to get some other things out of the way first and patch up some bugs. The update itself will be packed full of new stuff for you guys to try out, and I’m really excited to see what you think.
Feedback and comments appreciated!~Ultra
