Why are there so many The Return to Freddy's remake?

Im sure some of you guys remember TRtF if you dont, thats good, because it was the WORST FNAF FAN GAME TO EVER EXIST

And over the years ive seen many people remake, remaster or improve in someway the old game (especially the 1 game in that horrible saga)

So i wanted to ask, why do people remake that old game franchise?
