Why hello there! It's been a little over ten months, so it's time for an update(s) for y'all.

First thing's first, I'll put down some bullet points for y'all just in case some of you want an update for one or two specific things, then you can ignore the rest if you'd like. lol

  • Sonic 3 Complete [Luma3DS Port]

  • Croc! Legend of the Gobbos [Luma3DS Port]

  • [Luma3DS] Sonic Advance Collection + Sonic Pocket Adventure

  • Let's talk about a possible Sonic Triple Trouble 16bit Luma3DS Port

  • The main reason(s) why I've been taking a long break

Okay, let's start off with the Sonic 3 Complete Luma3DS port. Yes, the update IS coming! Understandably, it takes a while to convert 20 or so copies of the rom hack into multiple CIA files that all have the same title ID enable for cross-saving between the different versions. I've been working on that on and off for a while now, and I'm excited for the end result(s).

Next is the Croc Luma3DS port; I'm not too sure what to do with this thing. lol
With the official remaster of the game announced by Argonaut just a few days ago, I decided that I'll treat it the same way as I did with the Sonic 3 Complete port and disable downloads for at least a month when the remaster releases to the public. When it comes to a studio remastering a game that I've ported, I'd normally take the port down for good. However, the remaster and the port are, in a way, completely different from one another except for...well....it's a remaster of the first Croc game. lol
So that being said, the port will disappear for around a month or so when the remaster releases, and the port will eventually come back will an update that will hopefully fix some framerate issues.
Also yes, the Gameboy Color games will be ported over eventually, maybe even the Java phone games if I figure out how to port them over, but don't quote me on that. lol

Now as for the Sonic Advance Collection for Luma3DS, it has NOT been canceled, I promise. lol
The project isn't dead, I'm just not entirely sure what to exactly do with it. The first game is pretty much complete, it has a custom banner, home icon, and bottom screen image, so I may release that standalone and worth on the others as I go. I also need to figure out why the sprites keep looking like they're made of crayon, I believe that's not how they normally look so I'm tryin' to see if there's a way for them to look juuust right.

Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure is surprisingly difficult to optimize though. I've been running into small frame drops while testing the port on a New Nintendo 3DS system. While it isn't game breaking and doesn't completely destroy performance like some areas of the Croc port does, it's still a little annoying to where I want to figure out how to get rid of the frame drops for good.

I saw a comment a while back asking if I'd be willing to port over Sonic Triple Trouble 16bit over to Luma3DS. Also sorry for not responding, I meant to but more and more stuff came up. lol
I would love to work on a Luma3DS port of the fan game, however I only work with retro game rom files, that would be an entirely new area of coding that'd I'd need to learn. When it comes to porting retro games to Luma3DS, it doesn't require much coding due to how advanced injectors have become, despite me needing a long while to fully optimize a single GBA and/or PS1 game. Triple Trouble 16bit is an incredible fan game that's built from the ground up and doesn't require any emulators in any form of way.
However, I do have an idea on how we could handle the port. It could be built similar to the Luma3DS ports of Sonic 1, 2, CD, and Mania, the decompiled versions of the mobile ports. We'd need to get in contact with those who've worked on said ports on either both Luma3DS and/or Playstation Vita, and get in contact with the creator of the fan game as well.

This is not guaranteed to happen, although it'd be incredible to work with all those talented people.
Again, I know almost nothing when it comes to this specific area of Luma3DS Homebrew, though I already have plenty of ideas on how the touch screen would work, as well as the layout of the UI for the timer and rings.

It'd be cool to make this a reality, but again, nothing is guaranteed to happen.

There are many reasons why I have been on a long break, I shall spare the details and say that it all comes down to mental health. I've been on some kind of mental health journey if you'd want to call it that. lol
Many things have been piling up for the past four years, and it's just been too much to handle if I'm being honest. HOWEVER, I've been hanging out with my friends and they've been an incredible help with getting me through this crap.
One of my best friends also showed me an app called "Finch."
No, this is not a sponsor. lol
Finch is an app on Google Play (I'm not sure if it's on IOS but it'd be cool if it was), it's a self care app where you complete everyday tasks like drinking water, going outside, performing a three minute exercise, or even just getting through the day. While you're doing all these thing, you raise a bird and help it grow and discover all these different kind of things. A week or so ago, my birb which I named "Pencil," discovered the British. lol
This app has genuinely been a big help with getting me through the past month and a half, and I highly recommend it to anyone who's been struggling with this sort of thing. It may be an app, but I'd do anything for Pencil. lol

As for things goin' on in my life that doesn't have to do with big sad stuff, I've started collecting retro games for my region free Playstation 2 Slim that I recently got! I only have a few games so far, which being the two PS1 Croc games and Crash Twinsanity, but my collection shall grow as time goes by.
I've also started collecting complete DVD sets of my favorite cartoons and movies! So far I have the full Steven Universe collection and the first Pokemon movie. That collection shall grow over time as well, next up is either Adventure Time or Gravity Falls.

That's pretty much it! Maybe I'll work on some more ports in the future once my current ports are finally complete, I'm just not sure what games.
Also no, I'm not doing a FNaF 1 through Sister Location Archives, that'd be illegal. lol
And also no, I don't think I'll do one for Pizza Sim or UCN, there's just not enough unused or interesting unseen content for those games (although I wish there were).

See y'all when I see y'all!

So I added some sounds for some attacks in the OST section of the page around ten days ago, I'm very sorry for the lack of updates to the page. I have over 150+ sound files to go through and add them to the OST, I'll keep y'all updated when possible.

Ahoi! I'm alive lol

The final update.

I just added the screenshots to the media section of the port's page, all I gotta do is upload the soundtrack and release the port to the public sometime later today. See y'all soon!

workin' on a little somethin' lol

There will be an update for the GameJolt page for FNaF World Archives that will include some more sounds in the near future, sorry for the long wait! Happy late new year!

The ports' update has finally been released, and the full soundtrack for Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, as well as the S&K Collection recreations from Sonic 3 Complete are now in the OST section of the page! Please let me know if there are any bugs.

Part 1 of Update 3 for the Sonic 3 Complete Luma3DS port is now live!

Fairly big update about the GameJolt page for FNaF World Archives.

The latest/possibly final version of the port will be released to the public sometime today! The port's page has also been updated drastically, and the media section will also be updated once I get the chance to do so. :)
