Why make this game?

Why make a game that’s simple to make and also, quite frankly, stupid? Well, the answer is that I wanted to “dip my toe” into the gaming industry. I wanted to see what it would be like. I also hoped this game would be good enough to get some funds for better games. I realized that making a game like this is risky, considering anyone that knows Unreal Engine can make this game. Like I said, this game is a little dumb. It is a nice time-waster when finished, but it will die very fast.

I have plans for future games. These game will be better, both in quality and in gameplay. I will probably consult some people, as I may switch over to Unity. I love Unreal Engine so much. It’s simple to use and has lots of potential, but for what I am wanting to do, it just won’t work.

It’s hard for me to make these games between how busy I am, my lack of experience, and my lack of funds. I am no artist, and that’s why all the assets in this game are pre-made UE assets. But I am devoted to making games that are fun to make, and fun to play.

What was with that image that you posted? To be honest, I don’t know. I was trying to be mysterious in revealing my next game idea, and I feel like it failed miserably. Plus, I don’t think I’ll be pursuing that game. I have come up with better ideas. The image was revealing a new RPG game where you were stranded in a town, in the year 2001 (the year Douglas Adams died). That’s what was written in the top left corner. Anyway, I started writing, and just kinda got that. (Yes, my handwriting is bad. Not that bad, but bad).

Can I reveal my next game? Not entirely. I will say that it’s got large levels, zombies, wizards, and more. It may even be multiplayer.

I plan to finish up this game by adding some more guns and making it slightly better, both in performance and in quality. I don’t plan on doing too much more, though, as I want to get going on this next game. To tell you the truth, I have made around 10 different games, and never finished one. I hope to break that streak with Demolition: Military Style. While it may not be good, it will be finished.

With that, I leave you with the promise to get most, if not all, of the game done by the end of 2016. When I finish the game, I will begin working on this new game, which I will codename: Project Wizards. Project Wizards will probably cost or, if not, have paid DLC. I will only give the Pre-Alpha to 10 select people. I will need ten play-testers who can be diligent. I am giving you guys a heads up since you have been with me on this journey.

I’m excited about Project Wizards. It will be a very big game, both in scale and in gameplay. Expect a GameJolt Page release date of around March 2017. That is when I hope to share what I’ve got so far.

TL;DR I will get back to development soon, and I’ve got some new games planned.

Thank you for reading this post. I know it’s a lot, but I wanted to keep you guys updated. I will be back soon. Stay tuned, and stay awesome.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
