Introduction:

Hey everyone! Hope your holidays have gone well and you've had a good new year so far. I wanted to send by an update to keep those following, and those new, in the loop of whats been happening the past few months.

THE BIG STUFF:

So quite a lot has changed since I last did a devlog and I figured I may aswell share the news. Probably the biggest change first, after a lot of planning and rethinking of my gameplay ideas and aspects; I have settled on a final game engine for the game to run.
The game will now be made with Unreal Engine 5! I want the game to be a reflection on the story and work I have put into the game for the last 2 years (putting aside all the changes) and the game will now embody a first-person horror style.

Upgrades people, upgrades!

I have finally got all the upgrades for my PC and it is running smooth like butter, game development should speed up now that I can run more things.
My PC isn't the only thing getting upgraded, the entire map is now getting a whole lot bigger to fit for the new First-Person style.
And the animatronics and environment are also getting an upgrade in quality to make for the best experience!

A Reflection

Well this year has been a big one for this game, it's undergone so many changes and really pushed my ideas into gear. There's been some ups and downs with lack of motivation, and it's hard making a game solo and I put my heart out to solo developers or those in small teams, as it is a really tedious process. But I've managed to get everything back and track and am proud to begin work on the first chapter!
