Workshop Menu

Hey, ho! It’s been a while (9 months lol) since my last update of this game. I’ve become very busy with work and stuff, so I just couldn’t find the time. Anyway, I have now, so here I am!

What have I been up to lately? In the past couple of weeks I’ve started implementing the “Power-up menu” in the War Room. It has been 2 weeks of fun coding and working with UI/UX. I won’t bore you with details, so here’s a screenshot:

While this is already fully functional and integratted in the game, The icons and thumbnails are bound to change.

I’d like there to be a different background when the player moves from the War Room to the Workshop, so I started working on some sketches. It’s been a while since I last picked up my pen tablet, I’ll tell you that!

I’ll keep you guys posted on the progress of my drawing. This WILL take some time.

I thought I had move on...but Google Play warned me to update my app to support the latest Android version or else it would be taken down. Now I have new gameplay ideas so I decided to make another update. Coming to Gamejolt soon!

Title Screen Here’s the new title screen for the game. It shows a bunch of gnomes stealing from your barn! I think this gives the player a sneak peek of the gameplay. Also it’s better than a static drawing, in my opinion.

Here's to hoping 2021 will be much better than 2020. Happy New Year!

Concept design for the Dark Forest level. #gamedev

Update 1.1.8c is out now. With this I have optimized the game to take up around 300mb of RAM. Hopefully this eliminates all those ANRs and crashes! Check it out: https://tinyurl.com/2s43rhk8

I'm starting on a new level (Dark Forest), but before I dress it up I need to make sure it plays good, so I start by laying out the paths using wireframe tilesets. #gamedev

Made some adjustments to the boss AI so that the fight is more strategic, less spammy. This is meant to be the first boss encounter. What do you guys think?

Player Assist work in progress. Close, long, and mid range attacks. #gamedev #godstear #madewithunity

Started prototyping the Player Assist feature. With a press of a button you can summon party members that will perform their special attacks. I know it looks like Ender Lillies but my inspiration was the Marvel vs Capcom games.

Combat test with the Player Assist system. It can get frantic! #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #madewithunity
