The fangame is going to be called Pokémon Rainbow. The concept is to mix the universe of the Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen games with that of the anime, and then I thought, "What if, in addition to merging them, I create seven stories that happen simultaneously?" That's where the rainbow idea came from—seven characters, each with a color. Although I did something that some people might not like, which is giving each character a predetermined starter Pokémon. But that was one of the first things that came to mind, and I don't want to discard it. I also wanted to include evolutions and pre-evolutions of Gen 1 Pokémon that were given new forms in later generations, like Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, etc. Another idea is to include Pokémon from the Pokémon Green beta, since there are some interesting concepts. I also wanted to include certain locations where you can obtain Pokémon that should only be obtainable once (not counting legendaries), such as starter Pokémon or those obtained through trading. I also thought about making the cities bigger and adding things like cafes where almost all the main characters would usually meet to chat about their adventures. Now, the characters I'm going to introduce are:

Red: He chooses Charmander as his starter in memory of his father who died in the Kanto wars and by the name he has. He, along with two other characters, are entrusted by Professor Oak to complete his Pokédex, as he considers them the most reliable.

Blue oak: He chooses Squirtle because he wants a Pokémon that counters Red's ones. His parents also died in the Kanto Wars, so he had to live alone with his older sister and younger brother. Professor Oak also tasks him with completing his Pokédex.

Green: chose Bulbasaur because of the name her mother gave her; she is Red's twin sister, who was also entrusted by Oak to complete her Pokedex.

Ash "Yellow" Ketchum: He got his Pichu by arriving late, almost when everyone was leaving. Pichu was the only one left. He is constantly bothered by a group from Team Rocket who want his Pikachu, which evolved after being struck by lightning. Also, after defeating them, the gym leaders Brock and Misty follow him.

Gary "Orange" Oak: He got his Eevee just because he was Professor Oak's favorite. Since he's the youngest (by a few seconds), he's much more spoiled than Blue. I mean, he has a freakin' car! But even so, he's not as arrogant as you'd expect... well, he is pretty arrogant, but at least he's somewhat kind to his friends. Besides, he's Ash's rival.

Purple: He has a male Nidoran because it was the gift his parents left him before going to the Kanto Wars, leaving him and his sister alone with their grandmother. He's the older of the two siblings. He and his sister attended the Pokémon Technical School, but both were expelled for self-defense against bullies. When he was ten, his grandmother passed away.
Not wanting to go to the orphanage and with nowhere else to go, he discovered Team Rocket, a mafia that steals Pokémon and sells them illegally while experimenting on them in their quest for world domination. It might not have been the healthiest path, but the idea of having a family (even a criminal one) was tempting, and stealing Pokémon sounded cool, right?
So he and his sister enrolled in a kind of school to get in and surprisingly they passed. Since they were under 18 they were allowed to choose whether to work alone or in groups. Since they chose a group, instead of being a group between the two of them as they thought, they were integrated into two different already formed groups which conveniently were semi-rivals, so they also had to be rivals. Purple got the most beloved group of Team Rocket, Jessie, James and Meowth. They had to remake the motto after he joined but at least Purple was more effective than them.
They explained to him that they really wanted a certain yellow mouse and that he was their main target, but on his first mission, Purple fell in love with the gym leader Misty (I know, it sounds a lot like fanfiction) and that's why, in addition to blatantly flirting with her, at the end of each motto he picks up the rose that James uses and throws it to Misty.

Sky: Just like his brother, he received a female Nidoran. His story is the same as his brother's, except he doesn't fall in love with anyone and goes to another team, Cassid and Butch's, which is more effective than the one his brother was sent to.
