Appearing in the plant campaign, Deadbeard sort of works as a combination between the jack-in-the-box zombies from pvz1 and the landscaper zombie from pvz3. In his first phase, he goes down the lawn in his barrel and if he touches any plant or gets his barrel destroyed by a plant, it will explode in a 3-by-3 area and Deadbeard will exit the barrel before continuing down the lawn with decent health, which is his second phase.
