The knight and its king: Forbidden Desire

It was a rainy evening in the kingdom. The sky was tinted a light gray while water poured from the clouds. The king, a young and pure soul, sat below a tree in the perfect royal gardens, enjoying the cold rain while humming sweet lullabies to himself. -"You're gonna catch a cold."- a voice suddenly said as someone got closer. The king didn't bother to look up, recognizing the low and cold tone immediately. Footsteps inched closer before stopping, staring down at the king before sitting by his side. That's when he looked up and saw him, his most trusted knight right beside him. -"you, here with me? Outside on the rain? This is new."- the king said with amusement while the knight scoffed. -"Thought It'll be nice to check on you."- the knight simply responded in a huff as he leaned back against the tree. A comfortable silence filled the air as both sat there, silently enjoying each other's company before the knight spoke again. -"Why are you here anyway? Aren't you supposed to be in the castle?"- he asked before the king answered. -"Boredom. Plus, I like the rain... it's quite calming in a way."- The knight nodded in understanding before falling silent again. He was always fond of this 'I love nature' side of the king, maybe a bit too much if he was honest, but of course, he wouldn't admit that.
