so basically the ruins are gonna be diveded in 3 zones:
the ''normal'' ruins:

I saw some ruins concept art and noticed vases that were never used in Undertale. I want to bring those back there might be hidden gold in them, or maybe a whimsum hiding inside…

there also will be some houses that you can loot for founding some stuff...


I know this looks like a house only a psycho would live in, but there's a good reason why it looks this way...
And Omega Flowey's faces? They’re not random at all.
we also made the overworld menu:

This isn’t 100% complete yet, since the overworld in the background should appear darker — but yeah.
A small detail about the monster fight: I wanted to add dialogue for various things. Like Whimsum and Loox reacting to Froggit dying... or Froggit realizing he’s the last one still alive. Stuff like that.
One cool thing my buddy Zac (he’s the programmer) pointed out: the monster’s theme almost seems like it’s trying to distract you from something…
Which makes sense because the monsters can be spared...
And someone doesn’t want you to do that.
(This was definitely on purpose. Trust me. 100%.)
Oh and there are some fun "values" going on too...
Like, while you're fighting, right before you hit someone, the screen goes dark and...

yea it's not looking good for him...
But yeah the next area already has a lot of sprites done.
I could show them… but I think that would ruin a bit of the surprise. There's a certain shock factor I don’t want to spoil just yet.
So for now, I’ll just share two monster designs with you.

The next area has been partly rewritten mainly to make the story more interesting, keep characters more true to themselves, and create some cool dynamics between them.
