Yeah, still remember I forgot about Undertale anniversary last time... Sorry about that I guess.

But of course, I just COULDN'T forget OMORI anniversary cuz obviously, it's my most favourite indie game of all time.

Dang though, it's been out for 5 years already...

Not that I've been a fan for long, I played it just this year lol.

Might sound strange, but before I played OMORI, I didn't really like it that much. Yeah, I didn't like it before even trying it. Reason? Solely because I didn't like one single artwork of SUNNY in the game. Yeah, that alone. And I don't get what I didn't like about it that time. Maybe it just looked weird from a little distance...?

Despite that, I still did end up seeing a few videos of it on Youtube. I'm not sure if it was the time when it's popularity was at it's peak or not, because its videos appeared to me VERY SUDDENLY. That also at the time when I was an Undertale/Deltarune's ridiculous die hard fan.

Most of the videos I saw were related to BLACKSPACE as long as I remember. I honestly took way too much spoilers of BLACKSPACE and other stuff. Infact, my case was so hopeless, I was even able to figure out the real reason behind MARI'S death.

I also underestimated the game way too much, thought it wasn't even close to Undertale just because of one comment I saw afterwards, and all in all wasn't actually planning to play it. Despite that, I did like alot of things about the game those times, especially the mirror part.

Me, being an Undertale/Deltarune moron those times, seeing the videos of OMORI, without hesitation thought "oH It iS DeFiNiTeLy InSpIrEd oF UnDeRtAlE" just because the dialogue box looked similar...

And then, at one point. I finished Yume Nikki. I ended up watching a video about "Yume Nikki fan games" and it included OMORI aswell. It showed RED MAZE of OMORI, and at that time I had already explored "Hell" in Yume Nikki. Either this was the reason I decided to actually try OMORI or because I had planned to play OMORI after finishing Yume Nikki.

When I had only just played a bit of OMORI, I thought it doesn't even compare to Yume Nikki (I used to consider games which leave something unexplained and become all mysterious as superior). And somehow despite being heavily spoiled, and even knowing who the true final boss will be, it somehow ended up being better than all the story based games I've played as I started realizing how much actually happened in it.

... This is the case when I was heavily spoiled. I wonder how much more I'd have loved it if I wasn't spoiled at all. Kinda bad luck, but can't do anything about it can I?
