Yorg's first alpha


Hi everybody!

First of all, a quick introduction to Ya2 group: we are a small team with the main base in Rome, Italy, but members all across the world (that is, Netherlands and USA).

Today I would like to speak about our current project, Yorg (more info about it here): it’s a racing game with a third person view and currently we are developing it for Windows, OSX and Linux. Since we hope to reach gamers on all platforms, we have used an engine that allow us to do it, so in the next future it will be available also for Android, WebGL and so on.
We strongly believe in open source as a powerful tool to help IT communities (and not only), so we have chosen to share our code and arts on GitHub.

On our blog you can see that we have much more planned to develop, so, if you like our game, don’t be afraid show us your love by tipping us: your name will be in our credits in the next release!

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
