You now have more control when posting! Short posts, long posts, and the ability to attach any media you want to any post.

There were a few shortcomings with our post format that we've tried to fix in this new update. Let us know what you think!

Short-form posts

We want to encourage more posts on Game Jolt, so it becomes a place that you can follow what’s going on in games as it happens.

To make it easier and quicker to post, we changed the title field into one single long textbox that you can write into, similar to a tweet. The max length for this field is now 255 characters. You can write hashtags, mentions, and links in this field. Links get shortened so that they only take up a max of 25 characters.

If you fit your content into these 255 characters, it ensures that the full post will be shown to your followers without it getting cut off in the feeds. You should first try to fit your post into this short field before adding a post body.

Long-form posts

If you want to talk even more, then you can still do so! Simply add a post body, and start writing markdown! This allows you to attach long-form content such as articles, changelogs, and deeper write ups.

Better media management

Before this update you weren’t able to edit or manage your media on your posts after you saved them. That’s no longer the case! You can now add more media to any posts, remove media, and even sort the images/gifs so they show in the correct order.

No more post types, one post to rule them all

There is no longer a concept of different types of posts. It’s all one post format, and you just add extra content into it. This means you can add media, videos, and sketchfabs to text posts!

This new post format allows us to do a lot more! Lots of stuff queued up related to posting. We’ll be releasing new information soon. Cheers!

Ah yes, programming documentation.

All right, time to place my haul. I need mastery of these stickers.

Just noticed this on our bidet... Now I'm scared to use it.

Ohh, what's this? You can see all the stickers in a sticker pack before buying/opening now. Finally.

Modded a Game Gear! Took a long time, but I'm really happy with the results. New screen, speakers, shell, rechargeable batteries, all that. Even has an FM radio chip in it so that when it runs Master System games, it has better music.

Oof, got three sticker packs and got super unlucky with my drop rates for the star haha. I gotta master them all though!

Here we go!

My custom-made controller. Click click.

My grumpy dog doing yoga.

After about 6 months, I started working on my custom controller again for retro gaming!

I designed the PCBs for the analog sticks, got them made, and check them out! They fit in perfectly.

Next step, building out the whole main PCB.
