Alright, so I went back to this theme of art. Should I have kept it simple or is the added tone better?

I was feeling a little depressed and upset today, so I took it out on art I liked instead of myself. Somehow it ended up looking decent. Well, here you go ig. Blood/Rope hinting at something disturbing warning?

Which is better? The white background or the black background?
