I've been working with Gamemaker Studio way back when it was Gamemaker 8 and I'm definitely passionate when it comes to building/creating media. I currently use Gamemaker studio 1.4 for most of my projects but was looking into learning Unreal Engine 4 for another major project. I also use Musescore 2 to compose music for most of the game projects I design, and even some non game-related songs every now and again.
