Stuck in Punished Mai. In Library can not figure out puzzle with the Red X & can not get to the boiler Room. Any help would be great

Can anyone help me with this ?. It's a puzzle in a room with a grand piano and paintings. There's some sort of symbol on the tile floor in front of the piano. I am at a loss with this puzzle. By the by is their corruption in the game ?
