Lightspeed is a game about science fiction stories. These stories can take any shape that you want, as decided by a player called the animator. The rest of the players take on the role of characters in the story. Together, the player characters form a crew. Your crew can go on any kind of adventure that you’re into; anything from a space-train heist to a time travel murder mystery. Lightspeed’s official sample setting is Regnum, an action-packed galaxy of civilizations that never stands still. The animator is free to set your game in any other sci-fi setting of their choice, be it a pre-existing franchise or a realm of their own creation. The more adventures you go on, the more powerful your character will become.
