So if you're trying to Summon a partner e.g. Undyne, does it just give her to you or do you have to fight her and if you lose, you lose all the gold?

I'm double checking before I waste my gold on this. If it's not worth it I'm using it all on POGS

After 2 years of on and off gameplay I have finally gotten Chara as my Partner I've been searching for this entire time. Really intense battle as well.
