I try to be helpful and involved in community when I can, I'm not very good at it though.
I prefer to assess situations from every angle and perspective, so I know every side of the story. This is how I deal with everything that involves any form of debate (including politics). I will not preach religion or political belief, even if I have every reason to believe it to be correct.
