Ruv was born in a poor environment without a normal childhood.[5] He also didn't have any friends or a family.[6] As a child, he had a very strong sense of justice and wanted to bring it to the world. He then eventually realize that people with higher ranks in society committed bigger crimes but could get away with it because of power.[7] Eventually he would murder people that were corrupt in an attempt to bring justice. People would often see him as a villain, even if he was doing the right thing.[8]

From here on out, Ruv's life revolved around bloodshed, and he had no humanity to lose for he had none in the first place. Eventually injustice took over his mindset and he did not care who he killed anymore. He later resolved into running off somewhere far for years until he stumbled upon a quiet church.[9]

The church is where Ruv met Sarvente for the first time. Ruv did not trust Sarvente at first and their interaction started off rough but as time passes by, Sarvente had shown no sign of betrayal and had expressed she sees good in Ruv despite knowing his criminal activity.[10]

For once, Ruv had finally understood what it was like to feel human, despite never smiling or expressing other emotions. Ruv having a life other that wasn't running away made him feel different. He did not want to lose this feeling of home so he swore to protect Sarvente for the rest of eternity.[11]
