It's difficult to think that I've spent a decade doing something that I didn't like. I told myself that things will get better and that clutching to job security was the way it had to be. After all... why would anyone throw away so much experience and on-the-job knowledge?
Well... I'll tell you why... there is nothing more depressing than feeling forced into spending your time how someone else wants you to. I've loved video games since I was strong enough to handle a bulky Atari 2600 controller. That feeling of saving that pixelated princess or sheading tears to a fantasy story line will never leave me. It finally hit me that no amount of wishing I could make games would actually help me make games!
