I was born in 1972 and started using computers in the 80s. At the age of 8 I was already programming in LOGO on a Texas Instruments machine.
At 11, I got my Commodore 64 and started programming in BASIC, creating my first sprite animations in 16 colors. :)
When I was 15, I got a Commodore Amiga and began working with 3D software like Sculpt Animate 4D, as well as 2D tools like Deluxe Paint.
At 19, I moved to PC and started using the first DOS version of 3D Studio, beginning my career in the advertising industry.
At 21, I worked on a Silicon Graphics Indigo2 Xtreme using Wavefront and Alias (which later merged into Maya). I continued working in advertising as a 3D artist and later as a TV commercial director, staying in the industry for 25 years.
2009 — I won a Cannes award for a TV campaign for Kraft Foods (Costa Rica).
2014 — I created a physical PONG game table, licensed it with Atari, and left advertising.
2017 — I discovered Unreal Engine and it blew my mind. Since then, I’ve been working as a game developer, learning something new every day.
I’ve been in full solodev mode with my project Roomballs for the past 2 years.
