Four Horsemen Games is a game development company founded in Amsterdam in 2016. Hailing from the lowlands of The Netherlands two brothers started their quest to make fun and engaging games. Their first release was Spong in that year.

The FHG team has been developing for iOS and Android mobile devices since and has been organizing their own game event called Pop’n’Play on occasion as well. At the moment we are also working on a new title called Tag Party and a re-master of Spong.

Four Horsemen Games exists to develop fun and entertaining games through spirited collaboration.

We see video games as a new art form and take pride in contributing to it. We believe that if you truly take the opportunity to do the things that you love this will shine through in the final product.

We want players to enjoy the artistic merit of our games and hope they will have positive memories of them besides being entertained.

Of course this should not be taken literal but it is good practice to play as many different game types as possible to experience how developers come to other solutions. This is what is meant here. Do you agree with my take?

As we all create at arms length is dictating the need for feedback. This is in my opinion what "You create at a short distance" means; never be shy of feedback because completion of a creative and commercial product requires it. Do you agree with my take?

A product is overall visually more in balance if it does not contain too many elements and it appears that taking away an element will make the whole more balanced. This is in my opinion what "Less Is More" means. Do you agree with my take?

That element you have been staring at and are seemingly the happiest with is in fact a gleaming turd clogging up the pipes. It is time to get rid of it and let the game breath and feels more coherent. This is what “kill your darlings” means. Do you agree?

The endles possibilities of an untrodden path, any creative expression should feel like that. "Sky Is The Limit" is for me about these unending alternatives. I teach students that it is important to keep hold of that feeling. Do you agree with my take?
