What am I doing wrong

I’m not really a significant figure in anyone’s life I don’t make an impact I’m just in the background I’m no one’s best friend my partner could easily find someone better than me nothing would really be different if I wasn’t here and that’s okay

It makes me so sad when I see people actually doing stuff for other peoples’ birthdays because I know the most I’ll ever get is just “happy birthday”
