Question: In the Undying boss fight, is there no checkpoint? My computer shut down and now I have to do the entire Final Nightmare again? Can't I go to the middle room right away?

I was watching videos on YouTube when this appeared to me, it's basically a comparison between the fnati 1.0 and the fnati 6.0 and in my opinion it's an unfair fight since it's like comparing a coughing baby against a hydrogen bomb, what do you think?
