papyrus is getting a much needed v3 of his sprite, this is still a heavy wip though. (before you ask, he's mad because I drew it while listening to the wip of final encounter's first phase and it inspired me)
As for an effort to more or less break from BNP's image: Yes, it's official, we're only going to be using BNP sprites as placeholders. The BNP style will still be used due to it being the very structure of this game.
demo is done from the very beginning to the start of the battle
the battle is halfway finished but trust me im trying my hardest to come up with good attacks :c
