The night was dark and silent as you made your way to work. You had been assigned the late shift, and you knew you had to stay at the office for hours. As you unlocked the door and stepped inside, a chill ran down your spine. Something felt wrong. You turned on the lights and heard something scurry away in the darkness. The air was thick with an eeriness that seemed to linger in the back of your mind. You quickly went about your tasks, trying not to think too much about what was going on around you. But as the hours passed by, the presence of something sinister grew. Strange noises filled the air, and shadows danced across the walls. You knew that no matter how hard you tried to ignore it, something was lurking just beyond the edges of your vision. You were desperate to leave, but you knew that you had to stay. As you finished up your work, the sound of footsteps echoed through the hallways. Your heart raced as you braced yourself for whatever horror was soon to come. All you could do was hope that you would survive long enough to make it out alive.
