HISTORY:
The year is 1988, and after Super Mario Bros. for the NES became a huge success, they decided to make a sequel to the first game, called Super Mario Bros. So, when the sequel arrived in the US, they decided to redesign Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic with Mario characters and release it that way. They created a prototype of the game so beta testers could try it out and give their feedback. YOU happen to be one of them, so you opened the game on your office computer and started playing. But before you could beta test the game, something went wrong while Nintendo was developing the prototype. The software responsible for running the game started to crash, causing some isolated files to be generated, some files to be overwritten, and some files to be completely deleted from the game code. So, when you started playing, you quickly realized something was really wrong as soon as you saw the title screen...

CONTROLS:
- LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys to move.
- HOLD the Z button to run.
- Press X to jump.
- Press the Z button while on top of an object to pick it up.
- Press the Z button again to throw the object.
- Crouch with the DOWN arrow key.
- HOLD the crouch button until your character flashes to perform a super jump.
