Great Game! I kinda had a hard time understanding what was going on at first, but it all made sense the more I played.

I have just completed the game! On the one hand, I enjoy the music, which is really nice. And I find the gameplay pretty challenging, that's why I wanted to finish the game!
On the other hand, the most interesting thing about it is that it requires attention from a player, whatever situation he is in, whether he is involved in a battle or just roaming. It is simple but still I like it.
Considering my suggestions towards making the game better: I don't know, what else can be demanded from 32x32 pixels game. Actually, everything is all right. I would just love to play a longer and diversified version of "8 Days"! Thank you)

8 Days is a survival game in a 32x32 pixel twist!

You are a underground-survivor who have to help his family by collecting metal scraps on the surface world.

You have 8 days to collect scraps from the 8 buildings in the surface, when you succed you have to return to the starting point, if you fail well, it's game over.

Controls:

UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT-> Navigate map & Menus

SPACE -> Open menu / Select options (only if the text is grayed)

COMBAT SYSTEM EXPLANATION:

When you encounter an enemy a battle will begin.

It is a looped CS structured like this:

  1. Player health

  2. Enemy healh

  3. HEAD

  4. ARMS

  5. CHEST

  6. LEGS

  7. Enemy damage

  8. Player damage

The real fight happens in phases 3, 4, 5 and 6. Try to press space when the red bar is as close as the orange bar.

If you are unsure that you can hit the enemy you can wait, when the red bar is at the end of the screen the CS will jump to the next phase, so if you can't shoot you can always hope to hit the enemy in the ARMS etc. etc.

If you miss the game will jump to phase 7 (enemy damage).

The combat will loop until the enemy or the player dies.

MAP COLOR EXPLANATION:

Black-> Not explored building, you can find some food & medicines, also you can rest for half a day.

Gray-> Is the path you have already taken, is secure, so if you wanna avoid some fights stick to the gray.

Green-> Already explored building, you can rest for half a day.

Yellow-> Starting point, return here when you have explored the 8 buildings

Red -> Your current position.
