Lovely story! I included it in my Adventure Jam 2018 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. https://youtu.be/bOhhr05eefA
I had a good time with this game! I also used a light mechanic, a little like this one, but yours lighting the path is much cooler :D
I do wish the jumping had more air control - the double jump is a bit hard to judge
The mechanic is interesting, I got lost after falling from the bridge, it cost me a lot to go back to the correct path. I like that feeling.
I'm coming from the jam btw, this is my entry for the jam if you want to play it. http://jams.gamejolt.io/advjam2018/games/democracyTimes/340850 I'm looking for feedback as my plan is continue with this game.
You're building up a nice story through those letters. I just wish I could see more of it, as my terrible platforming skills left me unable to get past the platforms leading away from the letter which granted the double-jump ability. Even reaching the third platform after that proved impossible for me :(
Really enjoyed this, short and sweet with a nice little storyline and the graphics were amazing! Thankfully I didn't fall off too much :D
Can you escape a dark prison dimension using only your wits, agility and a bit of help from a kind stranger? Light your way through a dungeon where the environment is the enemy.
"A Light in the Darkness" is a short 3d puzzle-platformer developed by my humble self for #AdvJam2018 It's my first Unreal Engine game and I used standard graphics assets provided by EpicGames to create it.
