Thank you for making this game. I really appreciate hand drawn story. Pixel art is kinda okay (try experimenting with shading and palettes). All in-game art should be fitting with each other, so, if you use pixel art, pixel size of each character should be constant. And use the correct type of font. Again, I love the hand drawings :).
The game could be improved on the difficulty curve (only the last 2-3 levels have any kind of challenge). The difficulty curve should be more logarithmic (like, grow fast at the start and reach the plateau). The enemy behavior could be also more varied, requiring something more than using specific bullets to beat them. Experiment with patterns more :). Google "Game design 101: super mario's hidden language". Just make sure the gameplay is varied enough to be satisfying.
You could also try making the game 100% hand drawn. I would like to see how that works.
Good luck in the future :) I like your attitude.
It's Abra Kadabra's 2nd year at Caster education, but as she makes her way to the magic school, she is attacked by an army of demons. Now, Abra must get to school safely, while fighting of the demons that plan to end her.
The game is a Space Invaders like shooter, with 4 spells to use in a variety of ways. The game comes with an E-Manual if you want to learn how to play the game effectively.
The game will take less than half an hour to beat, but that does not mean it's easy, the game gets harder as it goes, and getting killed once means game over.
The game comes with some goodies as well. First is the E-Manual I mentioned earlier, then you get a desktop background for your computer, and finally, a preview of the Abra Web comic which will come out on my deviantart page one week after the game comes out. All for free, and the only thing it will cost you is half an hour of your time.
Thank you for playing, have fun, and stay Witchy!
