A Kitty Named Fitness (Title Theme)

Age of Mythology: Tale of the Dragon is an expansion that builds on the classic RTS elements of Age of Mythology, where players choose a culture (Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Atlantean, or Chinese) and use mythological units and god powers in battles. It adds a Chinese faction with deities like Fu Xi, Nü Wa, and Shennong, alongside traditional units and mythological beasts like dragons and terracotta warriors. While it brings new maps and campaigns, many fans found it lacked the polish of the original game, with balance and technical issues impacting its reception.

OLD VERSION EXPLAINED

Age of Mythology (2002) is a classic real-time strategy game by Ensemble Studios that takes inspiration from ancient myths and legends. In it, players control one of three civilizations—Greek, Norse, or Egyptian—each with unique units, buildings, and mythical creatures summoned by choosing gods. Players advance through four ages, gaining access to stronger units and god powers, which can turn the tide of battle with divine interventions like lightning storms or earthquakes.

The 2016 Tale of the Dragon expansion adds a Chinese culture, complete with new gods, myth units, and a campaign. While it introduces fresh strategies and mythical creatures, Tale of the Dragon received mixed feedback due to balance and technical challenges that left it feeling less polished than the original.
