Amfracti
Amfracti is a short, dating-sim visual novel in which you, in the role of a medical school sophomore, finally get your chance to shine by investigating a mysterious and terminal disease called Amfracti. Your job is to discuss the disease with affected patients and hopefully find out how to cure them.
Despite the heavy theme, the game is full of satire, irony, jokes, and twists and serves as a light-hearted mockery of the dating-sim genre.
Can you discover the cure before both patients slowly perish from this world, or perhaps you will find something more?
The game was made as a YumJam #8 entry in the span of 2 days by 5 authors. The topic to be portrayed was an image of a simple spiral.
The concept and game design of the game were the collective thought process of all authors. Then we all divided into our roles and respectively created our contributions to the game using various programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Audition, Krita, Twine, and REAPER. All the assets were then assembled in Unity.
