What do you think?

It was overall good, but I do have some feedback:

  • Room transition fixes - if the player enters a room from the bottom, spawn them at the top, if they enter on the left, spawn them on the right, etc. Also consider resetting the room (despawning enemies, NPCs, and more) on room transitions.

  • Consider adding a controls popup/tutorial?

Other than that, it was fun to play!

About the Game

The Chronicles of Rengoku is an RPG-style adventure game in which you explore many worlds in a roguelike manner. This is a survival fangame based on many Demon Slayer games such as the Hinokami Chronicles.

Features

  • Advanced physics for a game engine like TurboWarp

  • Compelling Retro Moments

  • Requires strategy to move through the game

Notes

A solo developer made this game with no help. It would be amazing if you could support me by playing the game, following it, and following me! Have fun gaming!

#Devlog 3: Akaza's second move has been made.

NEW POLL: Should we release an EARLY EARLY beta, or wait until the beta version is completed?

We've finished making an Akaza sprite! Tell us what you think! It'll definitely get reworked in the future, but this poll is either going to make it earlier, or not affect it at all.

A sneak peak in the future: Akaza (boss) is currently under development. We'll be releasing small peaks and updates on the guy that turned Rengoku into a donut. Stay tuned for more

BIG NEWS: The beta is 2/5 of the way done! If my math is right, the CoR should be released around February-March. Stay tuned for more updates!
