Hello, and welcome to my first Five Night's At Freddy's Fan Game, Crossroads. This is a game that I worked on on scratch since as early as late 2021, and published a Night One. My goal is to bring this game onto GameJolt, converting it to a proper Executable for PC players (please read the QnA or what is to come for this pc port? for more details).

Story: Darkness, blood, wears, rips, tears, holes. It's all you see around you. You are an ex military soldier that worked at [Data expunged], located in an abandoned jungle located somewhere in Louisiana. You found something under your feet, a newspaper. As you read it, you come to noticed that someone knows where you are, your distress signal has worked! However, due to the nearest military facility being far away, you must struggle to stay alive for 48 hours. After reading the newspaper, you heard... whispers, you heard metal, moving metal, and it coming closer and closer. You looked to your North, East, South, West, but still no sign... In no time at all, you prepare yourself near the gas lever, ready to fight for the will to live.

What is to come for this pc port? There is a little bit more that I plan to do with is this port than the scratch build:
*Bug fixes and adjustments: When I decided to replay the build that is currently up, I realized how vulnerable the game is. With bugs glitching where the objects are supposed to be vs. where they are, how nerfed. and how overpowering it is for both good and bad parts of the game, it just feels a little bit un satisfying in the other perspective I have for this result. I will ask if there are any other bugs, just let me know, what and where in the game, and if its occurring or just one player.
*Original sound and sound effect (some): In my scratch demo, I haven't made any sound (unfortunately), so most of it was placeholders of sounds using the scratch sound board, and only one fnaf sound, the fnaf 2 jumpscare. This will not be the case for the PC port, or project FX. New sounds will be original, however with minor exception (such as the ambience.
*Design and visuals: While I do feel some parts of the game are fine the way they are, it doesn't seem to great with how basic the colors and patterns are, and makes it less horror theme, because of the bright visuals, the vibrancies, and aesthetic. I will still include little bit of the bright visuals, but because it's a horror fan game, some parts need to be dark. I also need to changes some of the huds (while keeping only a select few, to help with the adjustments as well..... I can at least show you a preview on what I mean, using one of my animatronics from the demo:
Above: The old animatronic design for the scratch build of the game..
Below: So far of what the design looks like the pc version (not finalized):
Of course, this is only the animatronic designs. More things for design and texture wise will be modified to fit the feel of a little bit of realism while also not being realistic.
*Additional mechanics, features, etc: There is going to be a couple of new mechanics to spice up the game, there will be an added compass, that way, you won't forget which hall is which, a couple more animatronics thrown to the small roster, and more that I can't reveal just yet. ;)
Extras menu: As the name suggest, there will be an extras menu..
and more to come!

Short QnA:
Q: What engine is this being made in?
A: As the pieces of evidence show, it is of course the very beginner, yet a good tool to start out fnaf fan projects, Scratch. I do want to use engines like Clickteam and GameMaker (I have the computer to work on it), but so far for me using GameMaker, is kind of hard to navigate, plus I am terrible at making 3D models :P
Q: Why are you trying to port it to an executable, when you can just convert it to html, or just keep it on scratch?
A: While I could just port it as an HTML file using simple tools, such as Project HTMLifier, or TurboWrap Packager, I want to make my fan game and my upcoming fnaf projects more open to the community, even if the scratch fnaf community has it's fair share of audiences. I could do Itch.Io if I wanted to as well, but I would want to make an actual indie game before posting it there. Game jolt has a lot of really great communities and already has a stable share of fnaf fans on this platform, so as a beginner fnaf fan creator, I thought it would be cool.
Q: Will there be an Android and iOS port for this game?
A: While it is in my mind that I could port it to those devices, I would rather wait till I completely finish this project before worrying about other ports, plus, porting it on android is easier than on iOS (due to you need a developer license [from what I heard] in order to even put them up there, however just making an apk for android seems the best). I also don't want to put it on GooglePlay and the AppsStore (I would set it to free if I could, but no..), because respectively, I don't own the ip of fnaf, and while it may have fnaf like mechanics, and took very well inspiration, the ip of Five Night's At Freddy's belongs to the rightful creator Scott Cawthon (also known as @realscawthon on Game Jolt).
Q: When is the PC port releasing?
A: I just started it's development earlier (as of typing this, 9/20/2022). So I can't really set a possible release date yet, however if I could get it done quicker, the earliest I could get it completed is near the end of December 2022 to early January 2023), so please be patient.
Q: Who is helping you with this development?
A: Myself..... it's sad.... ;-;
Q: Can you make music?
A: I am going to be honest.... No... I know how to use an electronic keyboard (no not computer, it's like a piano, but has many options to use different kinds of instruments, sliders for changing the sounds, etc.), and the clarinet, but my rhythm is off for the most part, and while I can still use things like Garage band, and apps similar, the main issue is the tone and rhythm for me.
Q: What will be the next fnaf project after this one?
A: I already got a couple fnaf projects with ideas already, however they are put on hold, so I can a bit more focus on this until I get this done. I will say this, the full game could reveal a teaser, just have to wait and see. ;)
If ya'll have any Questions for a new and proper QnA, please let me know by saying: "QnA: (whatever the question is here)".

Game Jolt fnaf creators: Inspiring me as well
Jonochrome: The creator of One Night at Flumpty's (I used the idea for looking through four halls from his scrapped idea of his game, so credits to him as well).
Scratch: Making a useful tool (even if it's simplified) for many games including fnaf
@FoxxZo : Formerly known as Diamondfox9579 from scratch (unfortunantly scratch moderators banned him ), He is the developer of the Sparks, a fnaf fan game that is very challenging, yet fun. He was one of the many scratch users to inspire to make fnaf fan games, and to this day, he is still working on games on his Game Jolt page, so check him out as well!
And you!: Thank you for being interested in this, and can't wait to share the full game in the future! #fnaf #horror #fangame #fnaf
