UMT: DDM V1
SFT DELTARUNE Debug Menu
Version: v1
Type: UndertaleModTool CSX script
Status: Public beta / source-only modding tool
This is an unofficial fan-made debugging menu script for DELTARUNE.
This is the first public release. Older builds made during development were private testing builds, so the public version starts at v1.
The script expands the idea of the basic UMT room selector into a bigger menu-driven debugging tool. Instead of using a bunch of different hotkeys, the mod has one main key to open the menu, then everything else is controlled from categories inside the menu.
IMPORTANT DISTRIBUTION NOTE
This download should only include the CSX script and documentation.
It should NOT include:
DELTARUNE game files
Modified data.win files
Patched chapter data files
Extracted official sprites
Extracted official music or SFX
Extracted official fonts
Full game folders
Any other official game assets
You need your own copy of DELTARUNE and UndertaleModTool to use this.
MAIN FEATURES
Room Select
Search and warp to rooms from the currently patched chapter.
Player and Movement Tools
Toggle no-clip, change no-clip speed, teleport the player to the mouse position, and reload the current room.
Visual and Collision Tools
Show or hide detected backgrounds, floors, walls, collision objects, and character-like objects. Draw collision boxes, object labels, room bounds, and a player marker.
Sound Test
Search and play audio assets from the currently patched chapter. Includes audio filters, looping, and stop-all-audio options.
Sprite and Animation Viewer
Search sprites from the currently patched chapter and preview their animation frames in-game.
Battle and Test Rooms
A safe generic page that lists rooms with battle or test-like names and lets you warp to them. This is not a full custom battle launcher yet.
Runtime Info
Shows room info, mouse position, FPS, asset counts, player position, speed controls, stop audio, and panic reset.
Object Browser
Search object names and toggle visible live instances of selected objects.
CONTROLS
F3
Open or close the debug menu.
Up and Down
Move through menu rows.
Enter
Select the highlighted option.
Backspace

Typing
Search rooms, sounds, sprites, battle/test rooms, and objects.
No-clip movement, when enabled and the menu is closed:
Arrow keys or WASD to move.
Hold Shift to move faster.
HOW TO INSTALL
1. Back up your original DELTARUNE chapter data file.
2. Open the chapter data file in UndertaleModTool.
3. Run DELTARUNE_Debug_Menu_v1.csx in UMT.
4. Save the modified data file.
5. Launch the game.
6. Press F3 in-game to open the debug menu.
MULTI-CHAPTER NOTE
The script only patches the data file currently opened in UndertaleModTool.
To use it on multiple chapters, run the script separately on each chapter's data file.
Each chapter gets its own room list, sound list, sprite list, and object list based on that chapter's data.
WHAT IS NEW IN V1
v1 is the first public release.
It includes the menu-based debug categories, the updated room select, player movement tools, visual/collision tools, sound test, sprite viewer, runtime info, object browser, and a readable debug UI font/alignment fix for rooms that can otherwise make the debug menu text appear broken.
KNOWN LIMITATIONS
Room warping can crash or softlock if the room expects specific story flags or setup variables.
The Battle and Test Rooms page is only a safe generic room warp list. A real battle launcher needs chapter-specific setup scripts and arguments.
Layer and object hiding is based on name keywords, so it may need tuning for some chapters.
Player detection is generic and may miss rooms that use unusual player objects.
This is a debugging tool, not a polished gameplay mod.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK
Always keep backups of your original data files and save files. Debug tools can crash the game, softlock rooms, or create strange game states.
