This was a WAY bigger world than I was expecting, that really took me by surprise!! The gameplay was really cool and I like that there were multiple paths you could take but I got SO lost at times!!

Couldn't find my way out of the starting area, maybe I'm just slow. Looked around in the debug mode and this is seriously impressive. There are a lot of technical issues, like clipping audio, memory leakage and just basic instability but the weapon physics are decently satisfying. I would recommend changing the enemy behaviors to move away from the player after they get too close, as they're unable to hit you if standing right next to them. The jumping is really satisfying, the little sprint-dodge thing isn't super-duper great, I think the combat would benefit from you just being able to sprint with like, a stamina bar or something. Both charge attacks are a little awkward to use, especially the Aim+R attack, maybe if I retained control of the character movement during the charge up, and then while actually firing the shot I'm forced to be stationary it would feel better to use more often. There definitely needs to be some kind of cost for using the charge attacks and the Healing move, the combat would benefit from some different enemy types like melee units or long ranged snipers, making the environment feel more hostile. I genuinely love the art direction, reminds me of some kind of mix between Gears of War and a classical western Hades. The level design could benefit from tighter confinement, switching between wide-open for combat and narrow corridors for transitions. Really wish I could've found my way out of the start, this demo looks amazing. I'll definitely be following development.

I had some fun with this one. Got a little lost, but was able to find my way. The level ends with an awesome boss fight that keeps you moving.

the middle mouse button or the left shoulder button on a gamepad will let you teleport. hold it down and look around, you'll see a little red dot and shadow appear, that's the teleport indicator. i need to get better about control breakdowns lol...

the colored numbers on the HUD (since i forgot to tell ya'll XD) are the currencies. blue is the souls collected, they'll be used to update character stats at a special merchant in a future update. the yellow number is gold, and used to update equipment

every chapter of this game will be free. times are tough, money is tight all around, so this is our gift to people to help get them through the tough times. if you find anything that needs fixed or have any comments, don't hesitate to let us know 😁😁

i have mainly screenshots of the boss fight, but there's a whole platforming and action level before that XD i'll update to show more off.

Pause menu can be accessed with ESC key or Start buttons on gamepads. game is fully playable with a gamepad (and i actually recommend, it's more fun lol). If you need a refresher on the controls, they're in the Pause menu as well as graphics options.

Charged Blast = Square While Aiming

Aim = Left Trigger

Fire = Right Trigger.

Keyboard is WASD Movement, RMB to Aim, LMB to Fire,

G for Heal, F for Shadowbolt, Left Shift for Dodge, MMB to Teleport, Space to Jump/Hover

the control scheme is set up with playstation controllers in mind, so the breakdown will as well.

Jump, Hover = X

Dodge = O

Heal = Triangle

Reload = Square

Movement = Left Stick

Teleport = Left Shoulder

ShadowBlast = Right Shoulder

still gonna be updating this for fixes and the like, so if you find any issues with it let me know! uploading now.

Current Known Issues:

~"Hello" appears in the top left when reloading, it's a print string i forgot to delete lol..

~inside the 2nd base there's a busted elevator, when you teleport up you can get stuck in the ceiling. just jump and it fixes it.
