Electronic Abduction

"Electronic Abduction" A game where if you can't have internet, no one can! Fly a UFO and beam up as many devices as you can, while avoiding those who want to protect humanities electronics! #arcade #retro #roguelike

This is my first GameJam, so any feedback and advice would be great. I will continue to update this game constantly for the duration of the GameJam, and have lost many hours of sleep. Gotta make up for being a week behind, shame I didn't find out about this sooner.

At first, I wanted to make a wave surfing game, but I found it hard to make it fun, so I decided to go with my backup idea, a game where you have to steal electronics. Turns out that was more fun to design and program. Not saying it was easy, but either way, I learned how to use GMS 2 much more efficiently and basically trained me to think of strategies to solve whatever problem I have. I also learned how to obtain data and ask questions to beta testers (they're in the credits), how to deal with random values, and especially global variables.

Well aware of many issues and the feel of the overall game, and will continue to fine tune, and repair issues. Regardless of the results of the GameJam, I'll fix it up to be better and more playable in the upcoming future. Thanks for all the views!
