After the notorious incident at Fredbear's Family Dinner, Afton Robotics and Associates faced a severe public relations crisis. To rebuild their tarnished reputation, they decided to retire the outdated springlock animatronics that had been linked to the unfortunate incident and replace them with new faces for the public.
Temporary animatronics were made to perform in the time between and finance the new models beign made.
