What do you think?

So I've played a few nights of the game, this is my review

Pros:

-The gameplay is a great improvement over TRTF1, the addition of the music box is a nice choice

-I like that you took the Sugar renders and made it into an original character rather than just changing nothing

Cons:

-Easily my biggest problem with the game is it's far too easy, every character besides the Puppet requires the mask and its very boring when they're all dealt with the same way. The alert system takes away a lot of the challenge.

-The character edits are not very good, Sparky looks fine (although it is very lazy you just took the edit off google and mildly changed it) but Cotty is very sloppy looking. I understand this is probably because of it being a parody, but still. If I had to nitpick one more thing, the office has really bad screen tearing

Overall it's decent, I give it a 6/10. For your first game this is quite good but it has a lot of flaws that bring things down, but nonetheless, I still enjoyed my time with it. I'm excited to see the rest of this series.

Here's my review for freddy is back:

The first thing I want to say is that this game is genius. Genius how? Well, it’s genius for a first game. I know this is going to sound a little random to anyone reading this, but anyone who is a developer should understand: everyone's first game is always going to suck and be super low quality. That's not because the person is lazy or not trying, but simply because they are still learning. A good example would be my own first game, One Night at KFC, which is... uh

So, the point I'm trying to make is that choosing to make your first game a parody of TRTF is super smart. TRTF 1 is famous for being super low quality. Because this game is a parody of that, it brilliantly hides the fact that it's someone's first project. Any lack of polish or roughness is just seen as part of the comedy angle rather than poor quality. It's honestly incredibly clever, and I wish I had done something similar with my first game!

But that's not to imply this game actually is low quality. Even when you put the whole parody angle aside, it's pretty confidently put together. While it is definitely a bit rough and has a few minor bugs (for example, you can turn on the light while using the monitor, or honk Freddy's nose through it lol), there weren't any game-breaking bugs or annoying controls. It's genuinely pretty good!

Another great thing about this parody is that you don't need to be a die-hard TRTF fan to enjoy it. While anyone familiar with the series will catch all the nods, the references aren't forced down your throat. They actually stand on their own without needing context. For instance, Cotty is a fun reference to Sugar, but he functions perfectly as his own character; you don't need to know anything about Sugar to understand him.

I also really liked the photoshopping! I'll admit that some of the rooms look a bit too stretched in, but characters like Cotty are actually really well made.

If I had to nitpick any negatives... yeah, the alert systems for the animatronics kind of take away the challenge. This is actually one of the few games where I don't mind everyone except the Puppet using the mask mechanic because of the potential gameplay loop here. For Bonnie and Chica, you could use the doorways to check on them, while Foxy and Cotty are be sound-based. That would make the game all about paying attention and having fast reaction times, which is always super fun! Then, maybe for Freddy and Sparky, you'd have to put on the mask before they enter the doorways, which would make the hallway cameras much more useful. That's just an example though. The game definitely suffers a bit from giving the player those warning pop-ups, but it's not the end of the world either.

Overall, I'm really looking forward to the sequels and seeing what else you have to offer in the future. It’s a rock-solid first game! 8/10, very refreshing.

Today I might make a vid on the game

freddy is way too back

Really funny game, I always love seeing these kinds of games where its just image meshes to make everything rather than the typical render of the actual animatronic model inside the actual animatronic building model...

That being said, some of the criticism labeled against the game is true and fair - Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Sparky are non-threats considering the indicators of "Hey, they are here!!!" (Foxy and Cotty are fine enough lol)

The Special Night against Springtrap also loses some of its potential with the indicator - it could be a night where you paranoidly shine the hallway to see if Springtrap is there, but due to the indicator being there loud as ever it ends up being a "Hold click on the recharge and if you see the green indicator press the Shock button."

That being said I still found it incredibly fun and charming of a fangame and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!

I'll be patiently awaiting the sequel:)
