The player takes on the role of a night guard at the new Fredbear's Family Diner, who must survive the frequent and aggressive attacks of the establishment's animatronic mascots during the night. The player has a maintenance panel, which is used to corrupt the animatronics' AI should any of them access to the office; the animatronics will emit a static sound when they are about to enter. The panel also has the function of making Golden Balloon Boy retreat if he leaves Cam 04. The player also has access to the building's camera system, which is used to track the animatronics' movements. The player will also need to frequently recharge the Golden Puppet's music box, as if it stops, Golden Puppet will escape from its box and kill the player.
