pretty nice for a demo - the visual style looks pretty cool, especially the sprites) the overall game thematic surrounding music is also nice! the plot is a bit simple at the moment, but the different characters you meet along the way are great - especially Figaro and Felicitia, i love their designs!) i also loved that little detail with Reuben's eyes turning in the player's direction.
even so, i have a few complaints about the game in its current state - firstly, the level layout is kinda confusing because of the stairs and the blank texture of the floor - i think it would be better to give the floor some kind of texture so that it could be identified better) also ,when the game boots up it starts in a windowed mode and it becomes kinda confusing especially when the characters speak because the speech bubble extends the game's borders in windowed mode. on another note, it would be pretty useful to have an "options" menu on the main page - while we're talking about options, it would be great to be able to configure the speech speed for the characters)
alas, the demo is pretty good - the promise is quite unique, the character designs are simple but very effective and the spritework is excellent! also i loved that one Vinesauce reference in the sound test menu jajajaja))) all in all, the demo made a good impression on me. as for you, Cheyenam, i wish only best of luck and nerves of steel while developing the game!) take care!
Starting an apprenticeship in Paris France, Figaro, a feline musician takes you under his wing to embrace his form of song. But with good music, comes practice, as Figaro holds his music to a very high standard and it must be perfect. And he doesn't like it when someone messes up his music.
