Far far away, and yet not that far, by the Black Sea laid a bustling, beautiful land. Its fertile ground with gold grains and wheat, alongside other riches growing under the vast blue of the sky, was like a gift for the local people. Life there was good, the inhabitants were welcoming and smiling, they enjoyed their peaceful life and what their homeland had to offer. Their peace was kept by its spirit and protector - the Mamaj Kozak. Every day, tirelessly traversing the land, he looked after the inhabitants and maintained order. And so the idyllic life went on, until one day the Tatars began to appear, spreading fear in the hearts of people and havoc like wild locusts in villages. By disturbing the balance of this land, their actions aroused the fiery anger of Mamaj. Unable to endure the atrocities done nor forgive the plunderers who robbed his people, Mamaj went inland to repel the oppressors of his people.
