SHADE: The King's Lament is a RPG game developed using RPG Maker MV. It follows the story of Shade, a shadow from Mt. Kurayami, after the death of the queen.
You explore the Kingdom of Villia, a land split into four quarters by the lake in it's center. Your goal is to slay the king, and his 8 Commanders, with only your blade and the friends you make along the way to help you.
SHADE's combat takes heavy inspiration from Paper Mario, but was also inspired by games like Hollow Knight, Persona, and Fear and Hunger, though just in general design and aesthetics.
This is my biggest project yet, and I'm hoping it will be enjoyable for those who give it a shot.
