I do not intend to be harsh on the game. Every comment is for the sake of constructive criticism.
Lucid Night's graphics are absolutely beautiful but it underdelivers extremely on the gameplay part.
Its mechanics are very bland and the overall gameplay cycle is therefore dull, since there is only two ways to fend off the animatronics. Also, they have no way of tricking you into making a mistake, so winning is incredibly easy - just as easy as pushing two buttons whenever you need to.
Even though it is a one-night experience the game feels very repetitive and just isn't fun.
In terms of animation it is obvious that you have a clear talent, as showcased by the mask wearing animation and the jumpscares. However, these are the only instances of anything animated within the game, which is just lost potential.
Finally, I would appreciate if the game had a different way of explaining its unbelievably simple mechanics to the player instead of just some text.
Also, why doesn't Toy Chica have a place in the menu screen and her own Game Over Screen?
I am aware that the game is getting an update, even though nothing has happened to it in 11 months. So, I would like to see more characters added into the game, with more mechanics and your cool animations. I don't know if you have already considered this, but a cool addition to the crew besides the Puppet would be Toy Foxy (like Mangle but not destroyed). I just think it would look particularly cool and original.
I love the jumpscares and the mask animation. Great job! <3
looks nice but simple
Not a particularly outstanding FNaF fangame, but it shows some definite promise. The renders are done pretty well, only exception being the seeminlgy pre-rendered office. The gameplay isn't intuitive, and is fairly simple, although quickly becoming repetitive and boring. However, considering this is the developer's first game, I can't really fully blame them. I'm excited for LN2, and hope to one day see a more polished version of Lucid Night, and I am especially keeping my eye out on future works by Lopper. Keep up the great work!
I didn't have too many problems will playing, the models of the animatronics are good and the game is graphically beautiful, the only negative point is that it's a bit repetitive as there are only Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica and no other animatronics, I think this problem will be less present once the Puppet will be in the game.
Apart from that I liked playing your game!
