Mario85 I.M.P.E.S.T.O (Official)
Requirements: Mari0 AE
Once a upon a Time. In the world of the creepypasta game
Mario '85
, the story of Lucas is one of tragedy and digital imprisonment.
The Gift and the Incident
Lucas Everett was a scrawny eight-year-old boy in 1989 (or 1985 in some versions) who lived a quiet, somewhat isolated life. For his birthday, his Uncle Mark gifted him a brand-new Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) bundled with Super Mario Bros.. Lucas was overjoyed and spent weeks playing the game in his room.
However, the cartridge was inhabited by MX, an ancient, malevolent spirit disguised as a slightly distorted version of Mario. MX began communicating with Lucas through the game's graphics, masquerading as a friend and giving him simple advice like when to eat or sleep. Tragically, on December 23, 1989, while playing the game, Lucas suffered a fatal seizure.
The Eternal Game
Upon Lucas's death, MX claimed his soul and pulled it into a digital, hellish dimension within the game:
The Vessel: MX forced Lucas's soul into the body of Luigi.
The Trap: MX altered the game's code to give Lucas infinite lives.
The Torment: This was not a gift; it was so MX could hunt and kill Lucas over and over again for all eternity without the "game" ever truly ending.
MX's True Form
In the game, MX often appears as a massive, 12-foot-tall, eyeless version of Mario. He is a "False Hero" who can mimic Mario's personality perfectly to manipulate his victims before revealing his true, sadistic nature. He is incredibly powerful, able to leap from bottomless pits and smash through solid brick walls with ease.
